This time, the success rate of those who chose subjects like medical, engineering, commerce etc. as their main subjects has been close to 15 percent, which is more than twice that of humanities subjects.

According to a report, among the five subjects for which candidates apply the most, the percentage of successful candidates is highest in Sociology. If we talk about the record of the last 10 years, between 8 percent to 11.7 percent of the candidates who applied with this subject have been successful.

At the same time, after this, Geography is the most favorite subject and after that, Political Science became the favorite subject of the candidates. Talking about Geography, the maximum number of students have come from this region in the last 10 years. Whose success rate ranges from 3.4 percent to 7.3 percent. Whereas the success rate of Political Science is between 8 percent to 10 percent.

According to reports, till the year 2015, candidates also liked History a lot. Now the success rate was up to 5 percent. Apart from this, the number of UPSC exam engineering students has increased in the last 10 years. Of these, about 50 percent have been successful by making humanities subjects like Anthropology, Political Science as optional subjects. If the success rate of Medical Science, Electrical Engineering, Law and Commerce is between 15-20 percent. At the same time, the number of candidates appearing in the exam with these subjects is less as compared to the rest.
