T20 World Cup 2024: There is very little time left for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup to start. This Mahakumbh of T20 cricket is to be played in West Indies and USA from June 1, in which 20 teams from the world will be participating. Meanwhile, the selection of the Indian team remains a topic of discussion. Recently it was told that Rohit Sharma had talked to head coach Rahul Dravid and chief selector Ajit Agarkar for the selection of the Indian team. But now 'Hitman' has rejected all such rumours. It was claimed in that report that the topic of getting Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to open was discussed.
Indian team captain Rohit Sharma has called all these news as nonsense. Denying the news, he said, “I have not met anyone. Ajit Agarkar might be playing golf somewhere in Dubai. Rahul Dravid is watching his children play in Bengaluru. To be honest, we have not met. In today's times, if you hear something from me, Rahul Dravid, Ajit Agarkar or BCCI itself, then that is the truth, everything else is fake.
Since ICC has fixed May 1 as the last date for the announcement of teams in the T20 World Cup. There are reports that BCCI may announce the Indian team in the last week of April or on 1st May. The team will be playing the World Cup under the captaincy of 37-year-old Rohit Sharma. According to reports, Ryan Parag and Shivam Dubey and many other players have impressed the selectors in IPL 2024. In such a situation, this time many youth can be included in the team.
