Taylor Swift Likes Fans’ Posts amid Tortured Poets Department Release

Taylor Swift is showing fans some love after the release of her new album The Tortured Poets Department.

In the early hours of April 19, Swift, 34, “liked” multiple fan posts about her most recent release on X (formerly known as Twitter).

One of the posts that received a response from Swift read, “Oh god I love this…. But daddy I love him! 🤍🖊️ #TheTorturedPoetsDepartment #TSTTPD,” referencing the “But Daddy I Love Him” lyrics.

Swift liked another fan’s post which read, “I’d rather burn my whole life down than listen to one more second of all this bitching and moaning????????? Taylor now I’m on my feet APPLAUDING!!!! YES QUEEN!!!!!!!! #TSTTPD,” quoting the same song.

Among the liked posts was a GIF of someone drinking and spilling wine out of a huge glass, with the fan quoting, “AND I LOVE YOU IT’S RUINING MY LIFE I TOUCH YOU ONLY FOR A FORTNIGHT #TSTTPD,” referencing Swift’s song with Post Malone, “Fortnight.”

Following the release of The Tortured Poets Department, Swift had another surprise for fans.

Announcing her “2 a.m. surprise,” the “Love Story” hitmaker wrote, “The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album. ✌️ I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours. 🤍”

In another post promoting her 11th studio album, Swift wrote, “The Tortured Poets Department. An anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time – one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure.”

“This period of the author’s life is now over, the chapter closed and boarded up,” she added.

“There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed. And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted. This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it. And then all that’s left behind is the tortured poetry,” the musician concluded.

Swift’s album has had everybody talking since its release, with her seemingly referencing her six-year relationship with ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn in multiple tracks. Fans also think there are references to Kim Kardashian, and Swift’s brief romance with Matty Healy.
