Due to this accident he had to stay away from the cricket field for 18 months. Nicholas himself has said that girlfriend Alyssa Miguel helped him a lot in difficult times.

Alyssa Miguel and Nicholas Puran were dating each other for a long time and finally in 2020 they decided to become each other's life partners forever.
