Almost all the major markets including BSE and NSE are going to remain closed today on the occasion of Ram Navami. Due to this, there will be no trading in the major stock exchanges on Wednesday.
There will be no trading in these segments
Both BSE and NSE, in separate notifications, have announced that on the occasion of Ram Navami on April 17, The market has been informed to remain closed. On this occasion, there will be no trading in the derivatives segment on BSE and NSE. According to the notifications of both the major stock exchanges, the segments in which trading is going to be suspended today include Equity Segment, Equity Derivative Segment, SLB Segment, Currency Derivative Segment and Interest Rate Derivative Segment.
On MCX. There will be partial trading
Trading on NCDX is also going to remain closed today on the occasion of Ram Navami. However, commodity exchange MCX will open for partial trading. There will be no trading on MCX for the first session today, but after that the exchange will open for the second session. This means that there will be no trading on MCX in the first session from 9 am to 5 pm, but there will be normal trading in the second session starting from 5 pm.
Last week also. It was a holiday
Except the weekend, this is the second holiday of the stock market in the month of April. Earlier, there was Eid holiday in the domestic stock market during the last week. The market was also closed on April 11 on the occasion of Eid. However, now there is no stock holiday in the month of April after Ram Navami.
Other holidays of the stock market this year
After today, the next market holiday will be on the first date of next month i.e. It will happen in May. There will be a holiday in the market on 1st May due to Maharashtra Day. After that, on 17th of June, the market is going to remain closed on the occasion of Bakrid. There will be Muharram holiday in the stock market on 17th of July. The market will remain closed on the 15th of August on the occasion of Independence Day. Similarly, there will be market holidays on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October, Diwali on 1st November, Gurunanak Jayanti on 15th November and Christmas on 25th December.
