Fastest Fifty of IPL 2024: Delhi Capitals' ace batsman Jake Fraser McGurk has equaled his own record of scoring the fastest fifty in IPL 2024. McGurk has scored a fifty in just 15 balls in the match against Mumbai Indians. Earlier in the same season, he had also completed a half-century in 15 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He completed his half-century in the fourth over of the match against Mumbai itself. With this, McGurk has become the third batsman to score half-centuries twice in 15 or less balls in T20 cricket. Before him, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine have done this.
McGurk also hit 3 skyscraper sixes and 7 fours to complete his half-century. It seemed as if McGurk was about to score the fastest century in history. But his innings ended at 84 runs in 27 balls, in which he also hit 11 fours and 6 sixes. Fraser McGurk has played 104 balls so far in the current season, in which he has hit 22 fours and 22 sixes. If seen on the basis of this figure, McGurk has almost hit 2 boundaries in every 5 balls. In the same match, McGurk had given away 18 runs in one over of Jasprit Bumrah, which till now has been Bumrah's most expensive over in IPL 2024.
2 players have scored fifty in 16 balls

Both the opening batsmen of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head have scored fifty in 16 balls in the current season. Travis Head has also scored a half-century in 18 balls in this season. In the current season, Suryakumar Yadav is also not far behind, who had completed 50 runs in 17 balls in the match against RCB.
