Sai Sudarshan Record: The match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings was played on Friday. In this match, after winning the toss, CSK invited Gujarat to bat first. GT's openers, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan thrashed the Chennai bowlers. In this match he played an innings of 103 runs in 51 balls. Meanwhile, Sai Sudarshan has left Sachin Tendulkar behind in becoming the fastest player to complete 1,000 runs in the history of IPL. Sudarshan's bat is raining runs heavily in IPL 2024, in which he has scored more than 500 runs. Sudarshan has so far scored 520 runs in 12 matches in IPL 2024.
Sachin Tendulkar's record broken
Let us tell you that till date the fastest Indian batsman to complete 1,000 runs in IPL was Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar had completed one thousand runs in the year 2010 after playing 31 innings, in which his average was 34.8. Now Gujarat Titans batsman Sai Sudarshan has completed 1000 runs in just 25 innings. With this, he has become the fastest Indian batsman to score 1,000 runs in the Indian Premier League. Before that, let us tell you that Rituraj Gaikwad also took 31 innings to score thousand runs in IPL.
One thousand runs have been scored in 21 innings
Well, now the fastest Indian batsman to score 1,000 runs in IPL is Sai Sudarshan. But even before him, three batsmen had scored one thousand runs in 25 or less innings. Till date, the record of completing the fastest thousand runs in IPL was made by Australian player Shaun Marsh. Marsh was successful in crossing the mark of one thousand runs in only 21 innings and after him Lendl Simmons in 23 innings. In this list, Sai Sudarshan is now jointly at third place with Matthew Hayden. Hayden also completed 1,000 IPL runs in 25 innings.
