The source said, the main concern for BCCI is whether he is on track to play in the T20 World Cup or not, and he is in that position.

For his ability to play shots all around the field, 33-year-old Suryakumar is often compared to retired South African batsman AB de Villiers. He has scored runs in this format at a strike rate of 171.55. Suryakumar has scored 2141 runs for India with the help of four centuries in 60 T20 international matches.
