India equals Australia ODI win record: The second match of the ODI series between India and Sri Lanka was played in Kolkata on 12 January. After defeating Sri Lanka in the second ODI, Team India equaled Australia’s special record. India is now jointly the second country in the world with Australia to have won the most number of ODIs against a single country.

The record for the most wins against a single country in ODIs was made by Australia against New Zealand. The Kangaroo team won 95 matches against the Kiwis out of 141 ODIs. At the same time, India has now equaled this record of Australia. In the ODI played against Sri Lanka in Kolkata on January 12, Team India won the 95th ODI against the guests. So far 164 matches have been played between India and Sri Lanka, in which Team India has won 95 ODIs. India has become the second country to register the most wins against any one country in ODI cricket.

Apart from Australia and India, the countries which have won the most ODIs against any one country include only the teams of Australia and Pakistan. Pakistan has won 92 ODIs out of 155 against Sri Lanka. Pakistan is at number three in this list. Australia has won 87 out of 155 ODIs against England. While the Kangaroo team has won 80 out of 143 ODIs against India.
