How India Gifted 2023 Report By Ferns N Petals Roses Chocolates Cakes Among Top Items

On this occasion of the end of the year, online gift store Ferns & Petals has released an interesting report, in which it has been told what things Indians preferred for gifts throughout the year.

Many interesting information has come to light in this report. For example, people of big cities like roses, cakes and chocolates etc. most for gifting. Even today, in many small towns, sweets are the most favorite gift item of the people.

23 roses gifted every minute

According to Ferns and Petals' report 'How India Gifted 2023', during this entire year people sent the maximum number of gifts of roses. The company sold 1.15 crore rose buds in a year. This means that people sent 23 roses as gifts every minute. If we include other flowers, Indians gifted 1.5 crore flowers in a year.

People in big cities like flowers

According to the report, people from cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Chandigarh were at the forefront in gifting flowers. Apart from roses, favorite flowers included pink carnations, purple and blue orchids, white carnations, yellow gerberas and white lilies. Whereas in cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, people liked potted plants the most as gift items.

11 cakes delivered every minute

Cake came second after flowers. The company sold more than 70 lakh cakes in a year. That means 11 cakes were delivered as gifts every minute during 2023. Cities like Patna, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar remained ahead in gifting cakes and chocolates. During the year 2023, an important change in the trend was seen that people's choice of gifts is changing. There was a 60 percent increase in demand for gift hampers of healthy snacks and cosmetics.
