Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has given big relief to crores of subscribers. EPFO has made some new changes in the rules of PF withdrawal. With this, it has become easier to withdraw money from PF for treatment. Now subscribers will be able to easily withdraw more money in case of medical needs.
Circular issued this week
This change of EPFO is about auto claim processing (auto withdrawal) under paragraph 68J. Regarding the limit. EPFO has issued a circular in this regard on 16 April. It has been told in the circular that earlier the limit for withdrawing money from PF under Paragraph 68J was Rs 50 thousand, now it has been increased to Rs 1 lakh.
The limit has been increased from 50 thousand to 1 lakh. h3>
This means that now if an EPFO subscriber applies for withdrawal of up to Rs 1 lakh from his PF account for medical needs, then its processing will be done in auto mode. Earlier the facility of auto processing was only for claims up to Rs 50 thousand. This means that now EPFO subscribers can easily withdraw more money for medical needs.
Social security is provided through PF
Social security fund for crores of employees of EPFO private sector. Manages, which includes EPF and EPS etc. All subscribers who contribute to PF get the facility to withdraw money in case of any need. For example, if an employee suddenly becomes unemployed, that is, he loses his job, in such a situation, money can be withdrawn from PF by applying under Form-19.
When is the claim made under 68J?
Apart from leaving the job, employees also get the facility to withdraw money from PF for needs like buying a house, building a house, repairing the house, marriage, children's education etc. One such need is the treatment of oneself or one's dependents. For this, advance withdrawal can be done from PF under paragraph 68J.
