Ashwini Vaishnav wrote that such ballastless railway tracks will be used for the first time in India. According to this tweet, National High Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has prepared 153 km of viaducts for the bullet train. Apart from this, pier work for 295.5 km has also been completed. 508 km track is being laid for Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project. This corridor is to be started by 2026. He wrote that he has to touch more milestones in Modi 3.0.

What is ballastless track?

Ballastless track is also known as slab track. It is used for high speed railways in many countries. India has used J slab ballastless track for the first time. These are placed on top of the RC track. Their thickness is up to 300 mm. Ballastless track provides great stability to the train. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that to strengthen the security measures, anemometers will also be installed at 14 places in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor.
