Women’s World Boxing Championships Nikhat Zareen and Neetu Ghanghas enter gold medal final match

World Boxing Championships 2023: In the ongoing Women’s World Boxing in New Delhi, Indian women players have got a great performance. Indian boxer Nikhat Zareen confirmed his place in the final by defeating Ingrid Valencia of Colombia in the semi-final match of 50 kg category. At the same time, 22-year-old young woman boxer Neetu Ghanghas confirmed her place in the final by defeating Kazakhstan’s Alua Bulkekova in the semi-finals.

Nikhat Zareen kept the pressure on from the beginning of the match against Rio Olympics bronze medalist Ingrid Valencia of Colombia in the semi-finals. In this semi-final match of 50 kg bar category, Nikhat won with a big margin of 5-0 and confirmed the place in the final match.

On the other hand, Neetu Ghanghas also performed something similar in her match which was seen from Nikhat’s side. Defeating Alua Balibekuwa by a margin of 5-2 in this match of 48 kg weight category, he confirmed his place in the finals.

India’s 4 women boxers assured medals

In Women’s World Boxing, apart from Nikhat and Neetu, Lovlina and Sweety have also confirmed their place in the finals after winning their semi-final bout, after which at least 4 medals are now confirmed in India’s bag. Lovlina has secured a place in the finals of 75 kg weight category and Sweety Bura in 81 kg weight category. Apart from this, India’s Sakshi Chowdhary was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the 52 kg weight category after being defeated by a Chinese player. At the same time, 2022 bronze medalist Manisha Maun’s journey also ended as she was defeated by France’s Amina Zidani in the quarterfinals.
