Google Employees Write Open Letter To Sundar Pichai On Layoffs Know Demands

Sundar Pichai: Google’s parent company Alphabet had announced the removal of 12 thousand employees. Now after this retrenchment, the employees have written an open letter to the CEO of the company, Sundar Pichai and have put forward their demands. The employees have kept their point about giving priority to Sundar Pichai for recruitment as well as banning new recruitment etc.

Employees say that if Google is recruited again, priority should be given to those employees who have been fired. According to Bloomberg’s report, in the letter, there has been a demand for leave to go on mourning and to freeze recruitment for now. Apart from this, the employees have also appealed not to remove the employees in humanitarian crisis countries like Ukraine.

Employees’ Assistance Appeal

In the open letter, the employees have told the CEO of Google that if an employee is laid off, he should be allowed to serve his full notice period. It also said that affected workers in countries such as Ukraine should be given additional support for those at risk of losing their jobs as well as visa-linked residency. It has been said in the letter that the effect of this alphabet retrenchment has been felt at the global level.
