IND vs AUS: Visakhapatnam is the next ODI, in a match held here four and a half years ago all limits of excitement were crossed

IND vs AUS 2nd ODI: The second match of the three-match ODI series between India and Australia will be played in Visakhapatnam. Both the teams will be face to face on March 19 i.e. tomorrow at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium here. Team India has already played nine matches here, out of which it has won seven matches and lost one match. Team India has also had a tie here. Here we are telling the story of this thrilling tie match…

Four and a half years ago (October 2018) the teams of India and West Indies were face to face on this ground. Then India’s captain was Virat Kohli. Kohli won the toss and chose to bat first. After losing the first two wickets in the form of Rohit Sharma (4) and Shikhar Dhawan (29) for a total of 40 runs, Virat Kohli took one end and played an unbeaten inning of 157 runs off 129 balls. From the other end, he did not get much support from any batsman other than Ambati Rayudu (73). Kohli single-handedly took the Indian team to 321 runs at the loss of 6 wickets.

Batting middle order of West Indies
Here the Windies batsmen chased the target of 322 runs with great understanding. Despite falling wickets at regular intervals, the Windies team kept the run rate above 6. Here the West Indies team lost their three wickets for 78 runs in 12 overs. From here, Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer stuck to the pitch in such a way that they made a quick partnership of 143 runs in 119 balls. This partnership put West Indies in a strong position. Hetmyer was dismissed after scoring 94 runs off 64 balls. As soon as he was dismissed, India made a comeback in the match.

Match full of ups and downs
Hetmyer (94) was out on a total of 221 runs. At this time the Windies team needed 101 runs off 109 balls. Here 32 more runs were added to the score that Rovman Powell (18) also kept walking. After this, Jason Holder shared a 47-run partnership with Shai Hopes, playing a slow innings. Captain Holder was run out here. Now the Windies team needed 22 runs off 16 balls and they had 4 wickets left in their hands.

Four on the last ball and match tie
The Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly in the 48th and 49th overs and the result was that West Indies now needed 14 runs to win in the last over. Umesh Yadav was throwing the last over. 7 runs came in the first three balls of this over. The Indian team came under pressure but then Umesh raised the hopes of the Indian team to win again by sending Ashley Nurse to the pavilion. Shai Hope took two runs on the next ball. Now West Indies needed 5 runs to win the last ball. Here Shai Hope tried to hit a six but missed it and the ball went for a four. Thus the match became a tie.
