IPL 2024: The series of injuries to players in IPL 2024 is showing no signs of ending. Now Afghanistan's spin bowler Mujeeb-ur-Rahman is out of the entire tournament due to injury. In his place, Kolkata Knight Riders have added 16-year-old Afghan off-spin bowler Allah Ghazanfar to their squad. Ghazanfar has so far represented Afghanistan in 2 ODI matches. Ghazanfar was earlier seen playing for Afghanistan in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2024. So far, he has played 3 T20 matches and 6 List-A matches in his career, in which he has taken 5 and 4 wickets respectively. Ghazanfar has been signed by KKR for his base price i.e. Rs 20 lakh.
Talking about Mujeeb-ur-Rahman, he has also played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings in IPL, but in the 2024 auction, KKR bought him for Rs 2 crore. Mujeeb did not play in IPL after 2021, but due to injury he had to sit out this time too. Well, now it will be interesting to see what wonders Allah Ghazanfar can show in his place.
Rajasthan Royals also made a big change
