Stock Market Opening: Indian stock market has made a strong start today and Bank Nifty has provided support to the market by showing trading near 48,100 in the opening. The smallcap index has reached a record high today and the rise seen since yesterday is continuing. If we look at today's sectoral index, only the FMCG sector is in the red zone of decline. The metal index is seeing the highest increase of 1.15 percent and the healthcare index is seeing the highest increase of 1.07 percent.
How was the market opening?
BSE Sensex opened trading at 73,957 levels with a gain of 219.12 points or 0.30 percent. NSE's Nifty opened at the level of 22,421 with a rise of 53.55 points or 0.24 percent.
Market Capitalization of BSE
The market capitalization of BSE has come to Rs 401.45 lakh crore and 2860 shares are being traded in it. Out of these, 2174 shares are seeing a rise. A decline is seen in 591 shares and 95 shares are trading without any change. Upper circuit is imposed on 123 shares and lower circuit is imposed on 32 shares.
Situation of Sensex shares
Out of 30 BSE Sensex stocks, 25 are seen rising and only 5 stocks are seen trading with a decline. JSW Steel leads among the top gainers with a gain of 1.26 percent. Tata Steel is trading up by 1.18 percent, Nestle by 0.97 percent, UltraTech Cement by 0.77 percent and Tata Motors by 0.66 percent. Among the falling stocks were HUL 0.48 per cent, Titan 0.28 per cent and Asian Paints 0.27 per cent. Shares of Infosys, Bajaj Finance and L&T are seen falling.
