Simu Liu Holds Hands with Girlfriend Allison Hsu at Coachella: Photos

Just call him Coachella Ken!

Simu Liu took in the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival alongside a group including girlfriend Allison Hsu, sharing photos from the festivities to his Instagram grid.

The photos posted by Liu, 34, included moments where they took in shows, enjoyed snacks and drinks and walked hand-in-hand, dressed in casual-yet-stylish warm-weather attire.

“Under my coachella-ella-ella,” Liu wrote in the caption of his April 14 post, referencing the famous earworm lyric in Rihanna’s hit song “Umbrella.”

Hsu, 27, shared a post of her own from the festival, which also included shots of her cozying up to her beau and a photo of the couple from the back, holding hands.

“I’m just a girl at coachella,” she wrote in her Instagram caption Monday.

“Hey i was also at coachella! we should totally hang out,” the Barbie actor joked in a comment.

Liu and Hsu, a marketing director, went public with their romance in fall 2022, when she shared a sweet photo of her and the actor embracing. For the caption, Hsu kept it simple: “:).”

Just two weeks later, Liu announced the relationship to his 3 million Instagram followers by sharing a photo of himself and Hsu attending the Violent Night movie premiere in Los Angeles. “Pictured: two asians in front of santa’s crotch 🎅🏻,” he captioned the snapshot of the pair, both wearing festive holiday sweaters for the night out.

In an interview for PEOPLE’s 2023 Sexiest Man Alive issue this past November, Liu said that falling in love with Hsu helped bring a feeling of security over the last year.

“I think everyone knows the feeling of being in a situation where they’re not fully happy, and then all of a sudden for that to change … it’s such a breath of relief,” the actor said. “It’s this feeling of ‘Oh, right, it does exist.’ You start to feel like, okay, maybe I’ve just been conditioned to want something that doesn’t exist or I have unrealistic expectations.”

And, added the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star at the time, they’ve “been tremendously happy.”

“I feel challenged and loved and cared for, and I feel championed,” Liu said. “I think the best, healthiest relationships are ones where you have each other’s back, and I definitely feel like that’s the case.”
