Nicola Peltz dad seemed to goad wedding planner: 'Are you crying?'

According to court papers, Nicola Peltz’s father taunted her wedding planner while she drove him away.

Nicola hired planners for her 2022 wedding to Brooklyn Beckham, but father Nelson was axed just nine days after she was beheaded.

And documents released as part of a blockbuster court battle show he seemed to be giving a planner the boot, saying several times during a fateful call, “Are you crying?”

Peltz hired Plan Design’s Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba just six weeks before the Florida ceremony, and is now suing them, claiming they refused to return their $159,000 deposit. Braghin and Grijalba filed a counter-suit, claiming the family had violated their contract.

The court battle has already revealed that Nicola and mom Claudia oversee a chaotic planning operation filled with all kinds of secrets and conspiracies and an extremely demanding bride. It also includes a phone call in which Nicola’s father, who the papers call a “billionaire bully”, taunts the wedding planners after firing them.

According to the papers, Nelson told Grijalba to fire her, saying, “I don’t like having this type of conversation. My wife and my daughter are obviously putting me in a very uncomfortable position.”

He asked her to forward all the planning emails the pair exchanged with his wife and daughter.

The suit says Grijalba began forwarding some “700 emails” — such a deluge that she claims IT staff at Peltz’s company, Trian Partners, called to ask if it was the result of a bug.

Ten minutes later, Grijalba claims she received another call from burger chain Wendy’s chairperson Nelson, who oddly asked her if she was crying.

The alleged conversation is summarized in the suit:

Peltz: “Are you crying Ariana, are you crying?

Grijalba: “No, what are you talking about?”

Peltz: “I’ve blocked all your email. Do you think it was fun?”

Grijalba: “Mr. Peltz, I don’t know why you would block our email, we are sending all our work for your daughter’s wedding as per your request.

Peltz then asked, “Are you crying?” And when she refuses, he says, “So.”

When Grijalba says, “Mr. Peltz, you called me, is there anything else you want to tell me?” He reportedly replied by saying, “I don’t know why I called you,” before hanging up.

The Peltz family hired Michelle Rago of Michelle Rago Destinations to handle the planning work.

Beckham, son of soccer legend David and fashion star Victoria, married heiress Peltz in April 2022 in a $3 million affair in Palm Beach, with guests including Serena and Venus Williams and Eva Longoria.
