He played 123 matches during his international career. Munro has played one test match for New Zealand. He made his ODI debut in 2013. The last match was played in June 2019. Munro made his T20 International debut in 2012. The last match was played against India in February 2020.
Munro has played explosive innings against Team India. T20 series was played between India and New Zealand in November 2017. Its second match was held in Rajkot. New Zealand batted first and scored 196 runs. During this, Munro had scored unbeaten 109 runs in 58 balls. He hit 7 fours and 7 sixes. The Indian team, which came to chase the target given by New Zealand, could score only 156 runs. Team India had to face defeat in this match by 40 runs.
