ICC Player of the Month: ICC has nominated the names of three players for Player of the Month, out of which two are from Australia and one from India. The names of Australia's Glenn Maxwell and Travis Head are included in this ICC nomination list, while Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has also been included in that list.

Travis Head was not fully fit before the World Cup, and was returning from a long injury, but was still included in the World Cup squad. After almost half of the World Cup, Travis Head made a comeback, and then scored a total of 329 runs in 6 matches at an average of 54.83 and a strike rate of 127.51. During this period he played two century and one half-century innings. His two most special performances came in the semi-final and final matches of the World Cup, for which he also received the Player of the Match award in both these matches.
Glen Maxwell
The name of the second Australian player in this list is Glenn Maxwell, who has made an important contribution in making Australia the World Cup champion in this World Cup. Maxwell has scored 400 runs in 9 World Cup matches at an average of 66.66 and strike rate of 150.37. During this period he played century innings twice. Maxwell also played an unbeaten inning of 201 runs against Afghanistan, which led Australia to victory even in the lost match. That innings of Maxwell was such that it is seen once in centuries.
Mohammed Shami
The name of Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami is also included in this list of ICC. Mohammed Shami made his debut in the World Cup quite late, but still finished the World Cup by taking the most wickets. Shami played a total of 7 matches in this World Cup, and took a total of 24 wickets at an excellent average of just 10.70 and an economy rate of 5.26. During this period, Shami took 5-wicket haul thrice and 4-wicket haul once.
