20 percent jump in family travel segment
According to the report released on Wednesday by travel portal MakeMyTrip, there has been a jump of about 20 percent in the family travel segment this year as compared to the year 2023. On the other hand, solo traveling has increased by only 10 percent. People are now traveling more to religious places like Ayodhya. According to the summer travel trend of Make My Trip, people are searching most about Puri and Varanasi in summer. Ayodhya is experiencing the fastest search growth.
People are spending Rs 2,500 to Rs 7,000 on accommodation.
Apart from this, the choice of Indian people for international travel has been Baku, Almaty and Nagoya. Apart from this, Luxembourg, Langkawi and Antalya are also his favorite travel destinations. About 45 percent people are spending Rs 2,500 to Rs 7,000 for homestay booking.
Good news for summer season travel industry
Rajesh Mago, founder and group CEO of Make My Trip, said that every year the summer season is the busiest for the travel and tourism industry. The same trend is visible this year also. In comparison to last year, there has been a sharp increase in searches for various travel destinations this season. There is full hope that this momentum will continue in future also.
