LSG vs CSK: Lucknow Super Giants have defeated Chennai Super Kings in a one-sided fashion by 8 wickets. Playing first, CSK had scored 176 runs thanks to Ravindra Jadeja's half-century inning of 57 runs and in the end MS Dhoni's cameo inning of 28 runs. The LSG team, which set out to chase the target, maintained its dominance from the very beginning. Both the opening batsmen of Lucknow, KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock scored fifties. De Kock scored 54 runs in 43 balls. Whereas Rahul made an important contribution in the team's victory by 8 wickets by scoring 82 runs in 53 balls.
De Kock was out on the last ball of the 15th over and at this time the team's score was 134 runs. Lucknow Super Giants still needed 43 runs in the last 30 balls. On one side, Rahul was standing at the crease, while from the other end, Nicholas Puran started beating the CSK bowlers as soon as he came. LSG batsmen had scored 27 runs in the next 2 overs, due to which the result of the match was now a mere formality. Lucknow needed 16 runs in 18 balls. In the last overs, the ball was not hitting the bat properly, hence it was becoming difficult for the batsmen to score runs. Meanwhile, Tushar Deshpande had ensured Lucknow's victory by giving 15 runs in the 19th over itself. Nicholas Pooran scored 23 runs in 12 balls and hit the winning shot to help LSG win by 8 wickets.
CSK bowling failed
The bowlers of Chennai Super Kings could not maintain their hold on the match. Only Mustafizur Rahman and Mathisha Pathirana could take 1 wicket each for Chennai. According to the pitch, CSK had a low score to defend, so the bowlers needed to take wickets at regular intervals. But Ravindra Jadeja, Tushar Deshpande and Deepak Chahar also proved unsuccessful in taking wickets.
