Katy Perry Wears a Legolas Shirt at Coachella and FaceTimed Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry is showing support for her fiancé.

The 39-year-old singer walked the festival grounds at Coachella wearing an oversized graphic tee featuring Orlando Bloom as Legolas, the actor’s character in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy.

Perry wore the shirt as a minidress and accessorized with black combat boots and a black cross-body bag. The American Idol judge shared the look in an Instagram post recapping her weekend at the music festival.

“I been to Coachella longer than you’ve been alive,” she captioned the Wednesday, April 17 post.

The “Firework” singer also shared Bloom’s reaction to the t-shirt. On Instagram Stories, she posted a screenshot from a video call with her fiancé in which she’s showing off her ensemble. The actor, 47, appears delighted by the tribute to his beloved character.

Bloom portrayed Legolas, a Sindar Elf who joins the Fellowship, in the Peter Jackson-directed Lord of the Rings film trilogy. The franchise, based on the books by J.R.R. Tolkien, was rolled out from 2001 to 2003.

Fans also caught a glimpse of the Legolas t-shirt on TikTok, where creator Harry Daniels — who has become known for singing to celebrities he comes in contact with — shared a clip of himself meeting Perry at the music festival.

“I got really nervous to sing for Katy and I blanked so the only song I could remember was this one deep cut from 2013,” he captioned the video, in which he sings her track “International Smile” from her 2013 album Prism.

The clip has racked up 5.6 million views and counting and viewers are loving Perry’s Lord of the Rings reference.

“IS THAT A LEGOLAS SHIRT ICONIC,” one user commented on the post.

“The legolas shirt omg 😭😭😭,” said another.

Perry and Bloom met in 2016 at a Golden Globes afterparty and got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019.  They share a daughter, Daisy Dove, 3.

The couple recently stepped out for a date night at the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 13. 

They posed on the red carpet in coordinating looks, Perry in a chic black strapless dress with a sculpted bodice and a bell skirt, paired with pointy-toe shoes. She carried a small metallic bag and her long, dark hair was styled in a wrapped braid.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor opted for a classic black tux and white button-down shirt.
