IndiGo Plans To Buy Jet: There is a lot of movement in the airline sector of the country and news is continuously coming about the purchase of new aircraft. Recently, there was news quoting Reuters that IndiGo has plans to buy 500 jets from world famous company Boeing. However, now Indigo itself has given a statement regarding this. A representative of Indigo has told that at present no deal has been finalized by the company regarding this. On Friday itself, Reuters had reported that Indigo is in talks with the company to buy 500 jets.

Indigo, the country’s largest domestic airline, said that it is in constant discussion with plane manufacturers as it works on the next phase of its growth. But still we have not finalized any deal on this nor have taken any decision as is being told in the news. The company said that it does not make statements on estimates and whenever there is an update, it will be given.
Air India has made a historic deal for aircraft in the country
On February 14, Tata Group’s Air India placed orders for 470 jets with Boeing and Airbus, becoming the first company to place such an order. Tata Group’s Air India is buying 220 jets from Boeing and 250 from Airbus. In the domestic aviation industry, IndiGo ranks first with 55 percent market share and Air India ranks third with 10 percent market share.
French finance minister gave hints
Reuters had said in its report that IndiGo has so far been an exclusive buyer of narrow-body jets from France’s Airbus. French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said last month that IndiGo was close to ordering several hundred planes from the European plane maker. However, according to sources, the news is coming out that the discussion is going on between the two companies and in this mainly the consideration is going on for the purchase of mid size wide body jets as well as 787 Dreamliner plane and Airbus A30neo.
