Indian Stock Crashes Third Day Consecutively In First Week Of New Year 2023 Bank IT Stocks Biggest Loser

Stock Market Closing On 6th January 2023 : The Indian stock market closed down for the third consecutive day. Profit-booking was seen in the market on the last day of the week as well, due to which it has declined. Out of the five trading sessions of the year 2023, the market has closed with a decline in three sessions. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex fell by 435 points and closed below 60,000 at 59,901 points. While the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 17,864 points with a decline of 127 points.

Except for the shares of FMCG, Oil and Gas, Consumer Durables and Energy sectors in the market, the shares of all other sectors have closed down. Stocks related to Banking, Auto, IT, Pharma, Metals, Media, Infra sector closed down. Midcap and smallcap sector shares also declined. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, only 5 closed with gains while 25 declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, only 10 stocks advanced while 40 stocks closed in the red.
