Car Care Tips: It is very difficult to drive a car in the summer season. It is extremely unbearable to sit in a hot car in the scorching heat. It is often seen that people turn on the AC as soon as they sit in the car. But do you know how much difference switching on the car's AC makes to the mileage? Come, let us know.
According to auto experts, running more AC in the car affects the mileage only by 5 to 7 percent. In such a situation, there is no harm in using AC in the car whenever needed. But it should also be kept in mind that frequent switching on or off of AC can cause malfunction in the system.
take care like this
- Keep the AC slow in the beginning. If you have a car with automatic AC or climate control, then slow down the AC as soon as you start it and when your car picks up some speed, increase its speed. By doing this the car will become completely cool and the AC will not be affected much.
- Keep the window open. If you are traveling by car in the sun, then run the AC of the car on high speed. Along with this, leave the windows open for some time.
- AC will expel the hot air. Due to lack of air in the car, the cabin of the car starts getting hot. Open the car window slightly to reduce hot air. The AC will expel the hot air present in the car and the car will cool down properly.
- Turn off the recirculation mode. Turn off the recirculation mode as soon as you start the car, so that the hot air will come out through the ventilation. Later, when the air cools down, turn on the recirculation mode, due to this only the cold air of the cabin will continue to circulate.
- Do regular maintenance: Get the car and AC maintained regularly. If there is any problem with the AC, get its compressor checked immediately.
