The Health Minister has appealed to avoid unnecessarily going to crowded places, use masks and maintain social distance. Maharashtra is witnessing a resurgence in Covid cases with H3N2. This has increased the concern of the health administration.
Alert instructions to all hospitals
The health administration is on alert regarding the increasing infection of H3N2 influenza and corona. The Health Minister has informed that the government is keeping a close watch on all these matters. He has also told that all the hospitals have been alerted. Against this background, a meeting of the Health Department was held on Thursday. The meeting took place in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Health Minister Tanaji Sawant.
How to Prevent H3N2 Influenza?
State Health Minister Tanaji Sawant said that there is no medicine available for H3N2 influenza. However, this infection can be cured if treated on time. Private and government hospitals have been ordered to remain alert. At present, there is a big change in the weather, which is a matter of concern. It is affecting health. For this, people have been urged to wear masks, avoid going to crowded places, wash hands and maintain proper social distance. The Health Minister has appealed to consult a doctor immediately if symptoms of cold and fever appear.
Ten victims of H3N2 influenza in the country
Two patients have died in Maharashtra due to H3N2 viral virus. Karnataka was the first victim of influenza in the country. Then the second death happened in Haryana. Two days ago in Gujarat too, a patient had lost his life due to this viral flu. Now the death toll due to influenza infection in the country has gone up to ten.
