He said, ‘MS Dhoni was very supportive during that time. At that time he wanted me to score a century. He always wanted me to keep scoring hundreds. He was telling me in between the overs that you take your time, don’t be in a hurry. If needed, I will start scoring fast.

The final match of the World Cup 2011 was played between India and Sri Lanka. Batting first, Sri Lanka scored a score of 274 runs. In response, the Indian team had lost the wickets of Sachin (18) and Sehwag (0) only for 31 runs. From here, Gautam Gambhir had earlier got the Indian team back together with Virat Kohli (35) and MS Dhoni.
