It kept getting repaired in the service center and Sukhjinder Singh's car kept having engine problems.

Finally, Sukhjinder Singh was forced to approach Consumer Affairs. Approached the court. He fought for justice for almost 10 years in various consumer forums and now he has won. National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) has asked car company Hyundai Motors India to pay compensation. According to the commission's order, Hyundai Motors will pay Rs 15.1 lakh as compensation to the affected customer Sukhjinder Singh.
The money will have to be returned with interest
In the hearing, NCDRC admitted that the engine of the car It was defective from the beginning and needed to be replaced. Since the company could not replace the engine after so many years, the Commission asked the company to refund the full amount to the customer. Along with the purchase price, the commission also asked to pay interest for so many years.
NCDRC gave this decision
NCDRC said – the car was purchased by the customer on 17 August 2011. Was purchased. That means more than 13 years have passed since the age of the car. Now even if the company changes the engine of the car, there is very little time left for its use, because the registration of the car will expire in a few years. This means that the customer will not be able to get the benefit of the investment he made in buying the car. In such a situation, the company will have to return the entire money along with interest.
District Forum had given this order
Earlier, many years ago, in its order, the District Forum had ordered the company to change the engine. Was. The District Forum's decision in this regard came on June 17, 2016, in which Hyundai Motors was asked to replace the engine of the damaged car. However, the company did not follow the order of the District Forum.
