Ben Affleck officially runs Dunkin’.
The coffee fanatic suited up as a drive-thru employee for a commercial that aired during Super Bowl LVII.
In the ad, Affleck wears a full Dunkin’ uniform, with a branded visor attached to his head and a T-shirt with his motto, “America runs on Dunkin'”. He completes the look with a headset to take customers’ orders – complete with a Boston accent.
The “Argo” star’s wife, Jennifer Lopez, also appears in the ad as a customer who pulls up to the drive-thru window.
“What are you doing? Is that what you do when you say you’re going to work all day?” she asks.
Photos of Affleck, 50, and Lopez, 53, on the set of their ad went viral last month after the series’ Medford, Mass., patrons were lucky enough to have the movie star as their server.
One such customer, Lisa McKay, shared a picture on instagram Affleck at work, thanking him and the “Waiting for Tonight” singer “for my coffee this morning”. Mackay described Affleck as “intelligent and funny”. NBC10 Boston and confirmed that crew members had told him that a commercial was underway.
After the photos spread across the Internet as fast as coffee, Twitter users joked that Affleck has never looked happier serving java.
The entertainment reporter said, “No one in Hollywood has ever seen Ben Affleck smile so hard.” Fletcher Peters tweeted, “The man needs to quit his job and take a shift at Dunkin’.”
“Find someone who loves you like Ben Affleck loves #Dunkin” Another user wrote.
In late 2020, as the world reeled from the hostile takeover of COVID-19, Affleck went viral once again when paparazzi caught him narrowly escaping a Dunkin’ disaster while he was serving various iced coffees, munchkins, and a Struggling to balance the package.
