'Sell RCB…', veterans upset with team's poor performance, unique demand from BCCI

IPL 2024: In the 17th season of the Indian Premier League, the RCB team entered the tournament with a new name, new jersey and new expectations. Despite all these changes, the fortunes of Royal Challengers Bangalore are not ready to shine. RCB is currently at the last position in the points table with 2 points, due to which the anger of veteran Indian tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi has reached its peak. Bhupathi, who has been a 4-time Grand Slam champion in doubles competition, has expressed his displeasure over the performance of Bengaluru on social media platform X.

Mahesh Bhupathi wrote on “, which will make RCB a better franchise.” Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik are continuously playing good innings in IPL 2024, while Faf du Plessis has also shown signs of good form in the last 2 matches. But the other players of the team, be it batsmen or bowlers, are proving to be laggards. In such a situation, it is not surprising that Mahesh Bhupathi is angry at the RCB franchise.

How can RCB reach the playoffs?

RCB has played 7 matches so far in IPL 2024, out of which the team has been able to register only 1 win. The path to reaching the playoffs from the last place in the points table looks very difficult for Bengaluru. But if RCB still wants to reach the playoffs, then they will have to win at least 6 of their remaining 7 matches. The way the team has played so far, there seems to be little hope that RCB will be able to reach the playoffs in such difficult circumstances.
