According to reports, about 300 employees of Air India Express had suddenly gone on sick leave a day earlier. This type of leave of several employees at once is called mass sick leave. The employees who suddenly went on sick leave had switched off their phones and were not even reporting for work. Due to this the company's flights were getting affected. According to sources, 76 flights of Air India Express have been affected today due to employees going on leave. Many of those flights have been cancelled, while operations of many are being delayed, due to which passengers are having to bear the brunt.
Vistara has also faced the crisis
Air India. Express is a subsidiary of the leading domestic airline Air India providing low-cost aviation services. After the acquisition of Air India by the Tata Group, Air India Express has also now become a part of the group. Tata Group is trying to reduce the impact of this crisis with the help of its other aviation companies. Before this, another aviation company of the group, Vistara, has also faced problems. At that time, Air India had sent many of its pilots on deputation to Vistara.

Alok Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, meanwhile, A letter has been written addressing the employees. He has said that more than 100 employees suddenly took leave just before their duty, due to which the functioning of the company has been affected. Due to this, more than 90 flights have been affected. The effect may be visible in the coming days also. Efforts are being made to minimize the impact with the help of our network partners. However, the MD has not said anything in his letter about firing the employees.
