Saving Account Charges: After the country's largest private sector bank ICICI Bank, now two more big banks have decided to change the service charges of their savings accounts. These banks are Axis Bank and Yes Bank. Both the banks have changed the charges of their savings accounts, some of these charges are applicable from April 1, 2024. Some charges will be applicable from May 1, 2024.
Axis Bank changed the charges of savings and salary accounts
Large private sector bank Axis Bank has changed the rules of minimum average balance of its savings account and salary account. These rules have come into effect from 1 April 2024. The bank has now changed the rules of average balance in Priority Savings Account. Now customers are required to maintain an average balance of Rs 2 lakh in the Priority Savings Account on a monthly basis instead of quarterly. Apart from this, the bank has fixed free limit on third party transactions in Prime/Liberty/Prestage and Priority Savings accounts. You can do free third party transactions up to Rs 25,000 in a month. After this you will have to pay Rs 10 per transaction.
After the change in the rules of salary account, if salary is not received in this account continuously for two months, then in such a situation you will have to pay a penalty of Rs 100 every month. Apart from this, you will also have to pay penalty in case of not maintaining the average balance.
Yes Bank changed the service charge of its savings account
Yes Bank has also changed the service charge of its savings account. According to the information given on the official website of the bank, the average monthly balance for PRO Max saving account is Rs 50,000. In this, the maximum charge that can be collected from customers is Rs 1,000. Whereas the AMB of Saving Account Pro Plus or Yes Essence Saving Account has been fixed at Rs 25,000. In this you will be charged maximum Rs 750. Whereas on Savings Account Pro with AMP of Rs 10,000, you will have to pay a maximum charge of Rs 750. At the same time, customers will now have to pay a maximum charge of Rs 500 on a deposit of Rs 5000 on Saving Value or Kisan Savings Account. Whereas on the balance of Rs 2500 on My First YES savings account, you will have to pay a saving charge of Rs 250.
Yes Bank also changed ATM and debit card fees-
Yes Bank is charging fees ranging from Rs 149 to Rs 599 from customers on different debit cards. Apart from this, now customers will not have to pay any fee on the first five transactions. After this, you will have to pay Rs 21 per financial transaction and Rs 10 per non-financial transaction.
