Gerard Piqué cozies up to Irina Shayk amid Shakira breakup drama

Maybe he’s trying to make her jeal-ly.

Gerard Piqué was photographed looking cozy with model Irina Shayk on Thursday, just days after reports claimed that his ex Shakira discovered his alleged infidelity thanks to evidence from a jam jar.

Piqué got close to Shayk and wrapped his arm around her as they posed for a photo during an NBA game in France.

The former soccer star, 35, was dressed casually in a tan Nike hoodie and black pants. Meanwhile, 37-year-old Shayk looked chic in a black turtleneck sweater, black pants and big silver statement earrings.

Several other stars flooded the arena to watch the Detroit Pistons face off against the Chicago Bulls at the Accor Arena Bercy in Paris. A-listers in the crowd who watched the Bulls defeat the Pistons 126 to 108 included Pharrell, Magic Johnson, Naomi Campbell, and Formula 1 drivers Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, and Charles Leclerc.

Shayk was in a relationship with Bradley Cooper for four years until breaking up in June 2019. They continue to co-parent their 5-year-old daughter Lea De Seine and she reportedly wants to get back together with Cooper and have more kids with him.

She was also briefly linked to Kanye West in 2021 and Vito Schnabel a year before.

Meanwhile, his outing with Shayk comes after news broke that Shakira, 45, allegedly discovered he was cheating because of a jar of jam.

Shakira announced that she was separating from Piqué in June 2022 after nearly 11 years together. They share two sons: Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7.

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer shared that their breakup has been incredibly difficult for her and her kids in an interview with Elle last Fall.

“It’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it, and because I’m in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation,” she told the mag. “And so it’s been tough not only for me, but also for my kids. Incredibly difficult.”

In January, Page Six reported that Piqué allegedly had an affair with Clara Chia Marti, which ultimately led to the couple’s split.

Shakira apparently discovered the former athlete was being unfaithful when she realized that her jam supply was dwindling. She alluded to her suspicions in her new music video for “Te Felicito.”

The “Waka Waka” artist allegedly returned home from traveling and found that her fruit spread was missing, despite Piqué and her kids not being fans of jam, according to ShowNews Today. This led Shakira to realize that someone else had indulged in her jelly.

Shakira also dropped diss track “BZRP Music Session #53” this month, in which she drags her ex and Marti.

“You left me my mother-in-law as my neighbor / Media outlets at my door and in debt with the government,” Shakira sings in Spanish, referring to her tax trial.

The exes lived together in Barcelona, Spain, for eight years, but we’re told Shakira is moving back to Miami with their children.

Piqué and Shakira first met when he was featured in her 2010 music video for “Waka Waka.”
