Ind Vs NZ Shubman Gill can break Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan’s record during ODI series

Shubman Gill eyes on Virat Kohli-Shikhar Dhawan’s record: The first match of the ODI series between India and New Zealand will be played on Wednesday. This match between the two teams will be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The ODI series against the Kiwi team is special for Team India opener Shubman Gill. He is very close to creating history in ODIs for India in this series. He needs only 106 runs to set a new record in ODIs for India. If Shubman scores 106 runs in the ODI series against New Zealand, then he will break the record of Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.

What is Virat-Shikhar’s record?

The names of Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan hold the record for the fastest 1000 runs in ODIs from India. Both these cricketers have jointly scored the fastest one thousand runs for India in 24-24 innings of ODIs. On the other hand, Shubman Gill has scored 894 runs in 18 innings of ODIs so far. If he scores a total of 106 runs in the ODI series against New Zealand, then Shubman will become the first batsman from India to score the fastest one thousand runs in ODIs. In this case, he will leave behind Team India’s former captain Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.

Shubman is in excellent form

The opener of the Indian cricket team is currently in excellent form. Recently, in the third ODI played against Sri Lanka in Thiruvananthapuram, he scored a century of 116 runs. For some time now, he has been performing well in ODI cricket. If we look at his performance in the last five matches, Shubman has scored 45 (not out), 13, 70, 21, and 116 runs. In this way, in the last 5 ODIs, a total of 265 runs have come out of his bat. If his bat works in the ODI series against New Zealand, then he can easily create a new record by breaking the records of Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.
