Housing Sale May Be Increased 14 Percent During January To March In 2023 Says Anarock Report

Housing Sale News: Demand has increased even after the increase in housing prices in the country. Housing sales in the top-7 cities are expected to increase by 14 per cent to over 1.13 lakh units during January to March. It has been said in the report of Anarock that after the increase of 6 to 9 percent in housing, it is estimated to increase.

Real estate consultant Anarock monitors the housing market. Anarock said that despite the increase in home loan interest rates, Indian real estate continues to witness a boom in housing sales, which is also the highest quarterly sales in the last decade.

According to the data given by Anarock, sales of 1,13,770 units are estimated during January to March. Whereas last year during this time it was 99,550 units. In such a situation, an increase of 14 percent is expected this year. Mumbai and Pune have contributed 48 percent during this total sale. While Delhi-NCR is the only city where sales are showing a decline.

High demand for expensive homes

Anarock Chairman Anuj Puri said that the process of increase in housing sales has been going on since 2023 and had crossed the high level of 2022 during the first quarter itself. He said that the demand for high priced homes i.e. homes above Rs 1.5 crore has been the highest in this quarter.

Sales in housing may be affected

Increase in inflation rate and bank rates can reduce the demand for housing sale. Puri said that the rising rates from the RBI could affect the housing market. Housing sales in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region are expected to increase by 19 per cent to 34,690 units in January-March.

Where and how many units are likely to be sold

Housing sales in Pune have increased by 42 per cent to 19,920 units from 14,020 units. Housing sales in Delhi NCR declined by 9 per cent to 18,835 units and stood at 17,160 units. Sales of residential properties in Bangalore are estimated to increase by 16 per cent to 15,660 units. On the other hand, 5,880 units are expected to be sold in Chennai and 6,180 units are expected to be sold in Kolkata.
