The Health Minister has informed that the government is keeping a close watch on all these matters. He has also told that all the hospitals have been alerted. Against this background, a meeting of the Health Department was held on Thursday. The meeting took place in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Health Minister Tanaji Sawant.

Two days ago in Gujarat too, a patient had lost his life due to this viral flu. Now the death toll due to influenza infection in the country has gone up to ten.
