EPFO 8897 Members Take Option For Higher Pension Know How You Can Get Benefits

EPFO: So far 8897 people have applied for the higher pension of the Employees’ Pension Scheme under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation. Giving information on Saturday, EPFO ​​said that from February 27, online application has been made for pension contribution on higher salary under the EPS-95 scheme.

Apart from this, 91,258 online applications have been received from retired EPS members. These are retired employees who did not consider for higher pension before September 1, 2014. The last date for such employees has ended. On March 4, the application for these retired employees has been closed.

Two months more time for other members

At the same time, EPFO ​​has given time till May 3, 2023 to other contributions of EPS to opt for higher pension. For this, a joint application has to be made. According to the EPFO ​​statement, contribution of both employee and employer is included on higher salary, contribution on higher salary to EPF and EPS-95 schemes requires a joint request.

How to apply through simple process

• To avail more pension, you must first go to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberInterfacePohw/member.
• Here you will see the Pension on Higher Salary tab. Click on it.
• Now you will see a new option Joint Application Form.
• After this fill all the information asked and click on the OTP button.
• Now OTP will come on your phone on the number linked to Aadhaar, enter it.

Explain that under EPFO, employees and employers contribute 12-12 percent of the salary. Out of 12 per cent of the employer, 3.67 per cent is divided into EPF and 8.33 per cent into EPS.
