Indian Stock Market Closes In Red After Sensex Crashes 500 Points Bank IT Stocks Fell Sharply

Stock Market Closing On 2nd March 2023: After just one day’s rise, the Indian stock market has returned to decline. The market lost Wednesday’s gain. This decline has been seen in the market due to profit booking in banking and IT stocks. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex fell by 502 points to 58,909 and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed by 129 points at 17,321 points.

In today’s trading session, stocks of Banking, IT, Auto, FMCG, Healthcare and Consumer Durables sectors closed down. While the real estate, energy and oil and gas sector shares saw a slight rise. Midcap and small cap shares also closed with a decline. In today’s trade, 14 of the 50 Nifty stocks closed with gains while 36 closed with losses. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, only 5 closed with gains while 25 closed with losses. However, there has been a tremendous boom in the shares of Adani Group.

In today’s session Adani Ports share 3.45%, Adani Enterprises 2.75%, Coal India 1.87%, Hero Motocorp 1.33%, Dr Reddy’s Lab 1.07%, Power Grid 0.66%, Sun Pharma 0.63%, Divis Lab 0.56%, HCL Tech 0.44 per cent, Britannia closed with a gain of 0.33 per cent, Grasim by 0.30 per cent.

In today’s trading session, Maruti Suzuki 2.42%, Axis Bank 2.29%, TCS 1.91%, Nestle 1.70%, Infosys 1.64%, Mahindra & Mahindra 1.58%, Tech Mahindra 1.36%, Bharti Airtel 1.34%, Tata Motors 1.29%, Kotak Mahindra 1.28 percent, Bajaj Finance 1.19 percent, Titan Company 0.93 percent, HDFC Bank closed with a decline of 0.92 percent. Investor wealth stood at Rs 259.98 lakh crore in today’s trade.
