7th Pay Commission Central Government Hike Dearness Allowance By 4 Percent Know How Much Salary Increased

7th Pay Commission: Taking a major decision during the cabinet meeting on Friday i.e. March 24, 2023, the Central Government announced an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR Hike) for Central Employees and Pensioners. The government has increased DA and DA by 4 percent for employees and pensioners.

To give relief from inflation, the government has increased the dearness allowance of central employees from 38 percent to 42 percent. Now after this increase, the salary of the employees will be more than before. Let us know how much your salary will increase.

How many employees will get benefits

This decision of the Central Government will benefit 47.58 lakh government employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners. That is, more than 1 crore people will get its benefit. This increase from the government side will be considered effective from January 1, 2023. The government has increased the DA keeping in mind the latest CPI figures. Let us tell you that earlier the government had increased the DA by 4 percent to 38 percent DA, which was effective from July 1, 2022.

Salary will increase on the basis of basic salary

All government employees and pensioners are given the benefit of increase in dearness allowance. Under this increase, the calculation is done on the basis of basic salary. The employees whose basic salary will be more, their salary will also increase to the same extent.

Understand how much salary will be increased

Suppose if the basic salary of an employee is Rs 23,500 per month. At the same time, DA will get Rs 8,930 on 38 percent dearness allowance. Similarly, Rs 9,870 will be given at 42 per cent DA. In such a situation, the total salary of the employees will be increased by Rs 940 every month. Whereas, if you calculate for one year, then Rs 11,980 will be increased annually.
