Atal Pension Yojana: To make your old age secure, you can invest in a great pension scheme of the Government of India. Its name is Atal Pension Yojana.

Recently, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said an important thing regarding Atal Pension Yojana. The Finance Minister said that at least 8 percent return is being given under this scheme.

Atal Pension Yojana is a pension scheme, which has been specially designed keeping in mind the needs of the low income group. So far, more than 7 crore beneficiaries have joined this scheme.

This scheme was started on May 9, 2015. Under this scheme, beneficiaries can get monthly pension ranging from Rs 1000 to Rs 5000. This pension depends on the amount you have invested.

Under this scheme, investors get pension every month after the age of 60 years. To avail the benefits of this scheme, your age should be at least between 18 to 40 years.

If you invest Rs 210 every month in your income for 18 years, then after the age of 60 you will get a pension of Rs 5,000 every month.

If both husband and wife invest in this scheme, then after the age of 60 years both can get a total pension of Rs 10,000.
