Adani Group Banking And IT Stocks Led Indian Stock Market Fall In Today's Trade

Stock Market Closing On 13th February 2023: The first trading day of the week has been extremely disappointing for the Indian stock market. The market declined due to profit booking by investors. The fall in the shares of Adani Group also spoiled the mood of the market. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex fell by 250 points to 60,432 and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed by 86 points at 17,770 points.

Today, except for the shares of FMCG sector, there has been a decline in the shares of all the sectors in the market. Sector shares like Banking, Metals, IT, Auto, Pharma, Energy, Media, Healthcare closed down. There has also been a decline in mid cap and small cap stocks. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 10 closed with gains and 20 closed down. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 19 closed with gains while 31 closed with losses.

Due to the fall in the stock market, the wealth of the investors has decreased. The market cap of listed stocks on BSE has come down to Rs 265.66 lakh crore.
