On this occasion, both the families have presented many gifts and wishes to each other. During this, Gol Dhana tradition has been organized. Gol Dhana literally means jaggery and coriander seeds – which are used in an engagement ceremony in Gujarati traditions. These items are distributed to friends and family members at the groom’s house. The bride’s family brings gifts and sweets to the groom’s house. After this the rings are exchanged between the two. After the exchange of rings, the couple takes blessings from their elders.

He is currently heading the energy business of Reliance. Radhika, daughter of Shaila and Viren Merchant, is a graduate of New York University and serves as a director on the board of Encore Healthcare.
