Union Budget 2023 Employment Generation To Be Big Focus In Last Full Budget Of Modi Government Vacant Posts Likely To Be Filled

Budget 2023: On February 1, 2023, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the last general budget of the second term of the Modi government. Because this is the last full budget before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Along with this, assembly elections are also to be held in 9 states this year. In such a situation, to woo the voters, it is believed that this budget may remain populist, but at the same time, the biggest focus in the budget is going to be on employment generation.

Job creation is a red-letter priority

The Modi government has been on the target of the opposition regarding employment generation. In such a situation, before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the biggest emphasis of the Modi government is going to be on job creation. This is also evident from the fact that the Finance Minister had recently said that some priorities are red letter in which he said that creation of jobs, Equitable Wealth Distribution means economic equality and Taking forward on the path of development is included in the red letter priorities.

Allocation will increase under the head of capital expenditure

While presenting the 2022-23 budget on February 1, 2022, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had allocated Rs 7.5 lakh crore under the head of capital expenditure for the strengthening of infrastructure. It was expected that this would help in increasing employment opportunities as well as creating world class infrastructure in India. Keeping its focus on infrastructure development in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the government will allocate more for capital expenditure in this budget as well. If the government spends more on this item, it will also help in facing the global economic challenges.

Loan without guarantee to young entrepreneurs!

To promote entrepreneurship among the youth, the Modi government can make a big announcement in the budget. The government can announce a new scheme in this budget, in which a loan of Rs 50 lakh will be made available to these entrepreneurs without any guarantee. In which the government will guarantee 50 percent of the loan given to women entrepreneurs. Along with this, the government will give 25 percent guarantee in case of male entrepreneurs. Giving loans to these new budding entrepreneurs will help in increasing employment opportunities.

Emphasis will be on filling the vacant post

On June 14, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while playing the biggest election bet, announced that in the next one and a half years i.e. by the end of 2023, the central government will recruit 10 lakh people in its different departments and ministries. In fact, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself took this decision after reviewing the status of Human Resources in all departments and ministries. That is, before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the government has set a target of providing government jobs to 10 lakh people.

Lakhs of posts are lying vacant in the government. During the winter session of the Parliament, the Government had told the Parliament that about 9.79 lakh posts are lying vacant in different posts and departments in the Central Government. Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said in a written reply that according to the annual report of the Department of Expenditure, as on March 1, 2021, 9 lakh 79 thousand 327 posts are vacant under various ministries/departments of the Central Government. In December 2021, the Finance Minister had told that till December 1, 2021, a total of 8,05,986 posts have been sanctioned in government banks, out of which 41,177 posts of bank employees are lying vacant. About 10,814 teacher posts are lying vacant in educational institutions like Central Universities, IITs and IIMs. According to an estimate, about 1.25 lakh posts are lying vacant in all the three armies of the country. Exercise is also going on to fill it.

It is possible to announce the roadmap to fill the vacant posts.

In the recent past, government jobs have become a major election issue in all the states where assembly elections were held. In such a situation, it is believed that the finance minister can put forward a plan to fill the vacant posts in the budget. So that a positive message can be sent among the voters and especially among the youth.
