Allahabad High Court 15% Fee Waiver Order Implementation In UP Schools Details

UP School News: The parents of UP have been given a big relief by the Allahabad High Court. The Allahabad HC, while hearing a petition, has ruled that all the schools here will have to return some part of the full fees charged from the students during the Corona period. Either refund the school fees or adjust it further. According to this rule, all private schools in UP will have to return 15 percent of the fees to the parents. The bench headed by the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court gave this decision. This rule will be applicable on the fees deposited in 2020-21.

The rule will apply to all schools

This rule will apply equally to all private schools in UP. There is no such school which does not come under the purview of this order. While hearing a PIL, a bench of Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice JJ Munir gave this order.

Schools have been given a total of two months to refund or adjust the fees. During this, they have to complete this process. Explain that in the petitions filed during the Kovid-19 epidemic, the issue was raised in the court regarding the demand for school fees and other charges.

Fees will be refunded to those who have left the school

Schools can adopt two methods to adjust 15 percent fees. Either they will return this amount to the parents or this fee will be adjusted in the next classes of the children. Such students who have left the school will have to return this amount. This rule will apply to every class.

The schools which had reduced the fees

Some schools had already reduced the fees during the Corona period. Such schools will not come under the purview of this order. That is, those who had already reduced their fees, now they will not have to return 15 percent fees. Even if a petition is filed in the Supreme Court in this regard, the chances of getting relief are less because schools were already ordered to reduce the fees by 15 percent during the hearing in a case there.
