Dinesh Karthik on Hardik Pandya: Team India’s wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has praised his teammate Hardik Pandya. He has described Hardik as the most important player of Team India at present. He has also given many reasons behind this.

Dinesh Karthik said in a conversation with Cricbuzz, ‘There is no doubt that he (Hardik) is the most important player in the line-up of Team India because he is in the field with two skills. He is also a medium pace bowler and also bats well in the middle order, these two things are very difficult to get together. Yes, we have two-three spin all-rounders in our team, but it is very difficult to get a fast bowling all-rounder.

‘He finds a way to take wickets’
Karthik says, ‘He bats really well in the middle order and then when it comes to bowling, he finds a way to take wickets. It is difficult to face him because the way he bowls, you feel that the shot length ball will come, but as soon as he bowls full length, the batsman is on the backfoot. By giving preference to speed here, he becomes successful.

‘If he is dropped from the team’
Karthik says, ‘He is bowling well. He is one of those players around whom the team is built. If you remove him from the team, then you will think whether you increase one batsman or reduce one batsman. This would become a big question. Hardik is the most important player for Team India and if he is in good form, he can achieve a lot for the team.
