In the third match in Chennai, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Australia had scored 269 runs losing all 10 wickets in 49 overs, in which none of their batsmen could even score a half-century. Mitchell Marsh scored the maximum 47 runs for Australia. Apart from him, Alex Carey got out by making 38, Travis Head made 33.
