Bisleri International New Boss: The new boss of the bottled water supply company will be Jayanti Chauhan, daughter of Bisleri International Chairman Ramesh Chauhan. This is because Tata Consumer Products Limited (TCPL) has taken steps back to buy it. This means that Bisleri and Tata Group have not been able to agree on the deal.
Bisleri Chairman Ramesh Chauhan told ET that his daughter Jayanti Chauhan will run the company with a professional team. For this reason we do not want to sell our business. Jayanthi Chauhan is the Vice Chairperson of the company and she is 42 years old.
Will take responsibility soon
According to the Economic Times report, Jayanti Chauhan will work with the professional management team. Soon he will be given the responsibility of handling the company. Ramesh Chauhan had recently agreed to sell the Bisleri brand to Tata Group for Rs 7000 crore. However, it has been said in the report that in future the promoters may change their mind regarding this deal.
No deal has been done with Tata Group
Tata Group had said in a statement released on March 17 that no agreement has been signed to buy Bisleri. Tata’s consumer goods company had informed about this in the exchange filing. The company said that the talks with Bisleri have stopped, due to which no agreement has been reached.
Why agreement could not be reached with Tata Group
For the last two years, Tata Group was talking to the Chauhan family about this. Although talks were called during the last week, but the deal could not be agreed upon. Now it has been said in the report that Ramesh Chauhan does not want to sell his company Bisleri.
Jayanthi is handling this brand of Bisleri
Jayanthi Chauhan has been associated with Bisleri’s portfolio brand Vedika for the last few years. In recent years, she has played a big role in taking it forward.
