IND Vs AUS 2nd ODI India set Australia a target of 118 runs 2nd ODI YS Raja Reddy Stadium

IND vs AUS, 2nd ODI – Innings Highlights: In the second match of the 3-match ODI series being played between India and Australia, a great bowling performance has been seen from the Australian team. In this match, the Indian team was invited to bat first, in which the team was reduced to a score of only 117. For the Australian team, Mitchell Starc played an important role by taking maximum 5 wickets.

Australian captain Steve Smith did not delay at all in deciding to bowl first after winning the toss in this match. After this, the first blow to the Indian team was given by Mitchell Starc in the form of Shubman Gill in the very first over, who returned to the pavilion without opening the account. After this, captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli together brought the score to 32 runs.

Captain Rohit tried to play a shot on a ball coming out of Mitchell Starc and his catch in the slip was caught by Steve Smith, due to which he returned to the pavilion on a personal score of 13. On the score of 32, Team India got the third blow in the form of Suryakumar Yadav, who also returned to the pavilion on the score of zero in this match. From here the pressure of Australian bowlers was clearly visible.

While the Indian team scored only 51 runs in the first 10 overs, half the team had returned to the pavilion, in which Mitchell Starc alone took 4 wickets. Virat Kohli definitely managed the innings from one end.

Returning to the pavilion of Virat, the Indian team’s innings also ended soon.

At one time it seemed that Virat Kohli would work to get the team out of this situation and take it to a respectable score, but after playing an innings of 31 runs in 35 balls, he too returned to the pavilion after being dismissed LBW by Nathan Ellis. After this, it did not take much time for the innings of the Indian team to collapse.

In the lower order, Akshar Patel definitely played an inning of 29 runs in 29 balls, so that the team’s score could cross 100. Indian team’s innings got reduced to 117 runs in 26 overs. In this match, where Mitchell Starc took 5 wickets for Australia, Sean Abbott took 3 wickets while Nathan Ellis took 2 wickets.
